You’re on the go! Whether you’re running to the lake for water skiing and kayaking, going the distance on your morning run, checking out a new biking or hiking trail, off to tennis or golf, or on the way to pick up kids for soccer and softball –– you’re burning energy constantly. Under conditions of physical stress, the body’s energy resources can become depleted. In particular, intracellular levels of the body’s primary energy carrying molecule, adenosine triphosphate (ATP), are lowered significantly.

What is ATP?
Our bodies rely on the compound adenosine triphosphate (ATP) as the source of virtually all its energy requirements. ATP belongs to a class of compounds known as adenine nucleotides and our bodies rely on these compounds as the energy source needed to perform every bodily function. ATP keeps hearts beating, muscles contracting and cells functioning. Without ATP our tissues would simply stop working. High levels of cellular energy are required to keep tissues running at their peak performance.

Food and oxygen are the fuels used by the body to stoke the furnace of energy turnover. As long as there is a sufficient supply of these critical fuels, energy levels are maintained in the body and tissues function normally. However, simply by living our normal daily lives we routinely run into situations when these fuels are not adequately available. For example, disease, strenuous labor or high-intensity exercise all increase our demand for oxygen, reduce its availability to our tissues or disrupt normal energy metabolism. When we use oxygen faster than it can be supplied, our body cannot generate energy fast enough and energy reserves become depleted.

A reduction in the body’s total energy may lead to a variety of concerns including fatigue, muscle soreness, stiffness, tissue dysfunction or even total tissue failure if the energy is completely depleted by a lack of oxygen. Even when oxygen levels return to normal, it may take several days for the energy pool to recover. Studies have shown that, following repeated strenuous exercise, it may take three days for energy levels to be restored to normal, and in cases of heart challenges or other issues that reduce the flow of blood to tissue (a condition called ischemia) energy levels may never fully normalize.

Since cells and organs need adequate energy in order to maintain integrity and function, it is essential that the supply of ATP be replenished soon after it is consumed. This is possible over the short term in the presence of oxygen via the respiratory metabolic pathways. However, when the oxygen supply is inadequate, even temporarily, energy metabolism is impaired and ATP molecules are not regenerated quickly enough to meet the body’s energy demands.

In a wide range of clinical studies, investigators have found that ATP recovery can be stimulated in both myocardial (muscular tissue of the heart) and skeletal muscle tissues by administering a simple sugar called Ribose. Ribose is the substrate which supports formation and is an essential participant in the salvage pathways for ATP regeneration. In turn, ATP contributes basic metabolic reactions and plays important roles in protein, glycogen and nucleic acid synthesis and energy transfer reactions.

Heart Tissue
When blood flow is restricted to the heart, the myocardium becomes oxygen depleted due to ischemia (resulting from occluded arteries, heart attack, heart surgery, organ transplantation or other surgery). Myocardial levels of ATP will fall dramatically and can take up to 10 days or more to recover. Under conditions of such energetic depletion, myocardial function is compromised and there is an increased risk of permanent loss of myocardial tissue.dreamstime_m_40483527

Physical Exertion
Even in lower risk situations, such as healthy individuals who are pushing their physical limits by intense exercise, ATP reserves can become depleted and take several days to recover. Ribose plays a vital role in both myocardial and skeletal muscle metabolism, and ribose is the key to recovery of depleted ATP levels after strenuous exercise.*

The Nutritional Support Answer
Energy and cardiovascular health are top reasons consumers choose nutritional supplements or functional foods and beverages. Ribose plays an important role in the generation and recovery of ATP. Adding ribose to the ATP-depleted myocardial or skeletal muscle environment stimulates recovery of ATP levels. This enhancement of ATP recovery may play an important role in improving the overall health, lifestyle, and level of fitness in people with cardiovascular challenges, energy level issues, as well as in athletes who are pushing their exercise limits and depleting their energy reserves.*

“Eniva ATP-Pro is the most fundamental energy supplement you can give your body to maintain healthy levels of cellular energy pools.”prod-atp-11007 crop

Eniva ATP-Pro provides your body with a clinically tested and patented form of D-Ribose, the most fundamental source of energy your body can have. D-Ribose is what your body uses to naturally build its energy stores. Taking Eniva ATP-Pro can help your body quickly replace energy levels that have been depleted by hard work, exercise or health challenges.* It is well known that strenuous work, high-intensity exercise, and many health challenge conditions contribute to a depletion of the energy pool leading to fatigue, muscle soreness, and muscle stiffness that negatively impact exercise tolerance and quality of life. And this concern is universal, all the way from top conditioned athletes, to weekend warriors, to patients recovering from serious illness, as well as those dealing with the impacts of the natural aging process.

Eniva Atp-Pro stands above in its ability to deliver natural, demonstrable, safe and patent-protected benefits.
• Supports heart health and optimal cardiac function*
• Assists with energy production and enhancement*
• Supports muscle mass gains and muscle health*
• Supports muscle stiffness and soreness*

Useful Tip: Use ATP-Pro as a sweetener instead of sugar. ATP-Pro has a sweet taste and can easily be sprinkled over foods like oatmeal or added to drinks like tea. It contains no artificial colors, flavors, or stimulants. It is gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian friendly. Simply stir into juice or water to get that boost of energy your body needs.
